Taxonomy
Lytopsenella kerneggeri was named by Ohl (1995). Its type specimen is GPIH 3621, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, GPIH Kernegger collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
