Taxonomy
Mirilingula was named by Popov (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm u O Trem Sepkoski's reference number: 881]. Its type is Mirilingula mutabilis.

It was assigned to Lingulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Lingulellotretidae by Williams et al. (2000) and Hansen and Holmer (2011).
