Isobuthus pottsvillensis

Taxonomy
Eobuthus pottsvillensis was named by Moore (1923). Its type specimen is FMNH UC 37984 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Strip pit east of Clay City, which is in a Westphalian A/Westphalian B terrestrial shale in the Pottsville Formation of Indiana.

It was recombined as Isobuthus pottsvillensis by Petrunkevitch (1953); it was recombined as Opsieobuthus pottsvillensis by Kjellesvig-Waering (1986), Jeram (1994) and Dunlop et al. (2013).
