Almadenorthis auriculata
Taxonomy
Almadenorthis auriculata was named by Reyes-Abril et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MGM−5940−O, a valve (internal and external moulds of ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AC−I, 5800 m SE of Fontanosas, which is in an Oretanian marine shale/slate in the Rio Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Almadenorthis.
