Taxonomy
Groeberia pattersoni was named by Simpson (1970). Its type specimen is MLP 68-VI- 27-1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Mina Atala, which is in a Divisaderan terrestrial horizon in the Divisadero Largo Formation of Argentina.
