Acaremys murinus. Upper premolar trilophodont; the protoloph with a very thin connection with the protocone, *hypocone labially placed with respect to the protocone and hypoflexus less developed than in Acaremys murinus and G. antelucanus. Upper molars with an accessory cusp in the protoloph between protocone and paracone unlike Acaremys, Galileomys, Sciamys and Platypittamys, and *hypocone labially placed with respect to the protocone; protoloph of M3 with a thin connection to the protocone, as in P4. The molars are wider anteriorly than posteriorly, as in ‘Acaremys’ tricarinatus. Skull *without a furrow for the passage of the infraorbitalis nerve, *ventral root of the zygoma antero-posteriorly long and dorso-ventrally short, unlike other acaremyids and presence of a well- developed sagittal crest, unlike Sciamys.
