Taxonomy
Pedderia fragosa was named by Baranov and Blodgett (2016). Its type specimen is Holotype 219/20, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 83RB21 - 050 meters, which is in a Pragian shallow subtidal limestone in the Soda Creek Formation of Alaska.
