Prozonarina haueriana
Taxonomy
Prozonarina haueriana was named by Dolin and Lozouet (2004). Its type specimen is MNHN-IM-2000-3744, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Estoti St-Paul-les-Dax, which is in a Chattian perireef or subreef sandstone in the Falun de St. Paul-les-Dax Formation of France.

Lozouet 2004 | La coquille solide, minuscule pour le genre, est calleuse a bards fortement margines; elle a une forme en amande, un galbe surbaisse de profil et une sole ventrale convexe. La spire, marquee par une depression ombilicale est masquee. l:ouverture est etroite. Le canal siphonal peu profond mais bien delimite est ouvert en cornet ; il forme un pontet annulaire, dans le plan de la sole ventrale mais legerement retrousse, margine dorsalement. Le pli terminal arque est rompu transversalement par un petit denticule vertical en position transverse ; il se prolonge par la lame interne a 4S 0 , courte et lamelleuse. La fossula aliforme est reduite, lisse, bordee, l' aire columellaire est plane. La levre interne, a angulation abrupte, est rectiligne ; elle parte 16 denticules columellaires courts et espaces, limites pour la plupart d' entre eux a !'angulation. Le canal exhalant, peu profond mais bien delimite, est retrousse dorsalement; il forme un pontet massif, fmousse. La lfvre externe, sinuso"idale, contractfe en son tiers anterieur, parte 20 petits mais forts denticules labraux, courts, limites au bard adapertural de la levre externe. |
