Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. E. Martin et al. 2010Small-sized non-eusuchian mesoeucrocodylian with laterally slightly compressed skull sharing the following autapomorphic characters of the genus Theriosuchus: presence of transversely directed groove on the anterolateral side of the maxilla; longitudinal crest on frontal; and low-crowned, labiolingually compressed, pseudoziphodont (sensu Prasad and Lapparent de Broin 2002) posterior teeth. It differs from other species of Theriosuchus in having only one single enlarged maxillary caniniform tooth and by the anterior teeth lacking striae on both labial and lingual faces.
