Taxonomy
Dientomochilus (Varicospira) rakhiensis was named by Eames (1952). Its type specimen is BMNH G.68127, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Bed F.1967, Rakhi Nala, which is in a Lutetian marine shale in the Domanda Formation of Pakistan.
