Ancyginaspis priscus
Taxonomy
Cyrtometopus priscus was named by Tjernvik (1956) [= Cyrtometopus cf. clavifrons (Dalman, 1826) Skjeseth 1952 Didymograptus Zone, p. 173 , pl. 4, figs . 3, 4 , 6.]. Its type specimen is PU N 709, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yxhult Quarry, which is in a Billingen marine shale in the Latorp Formation of Sweden. It is the type species of Ancyginaspis.
It was recombined as Ancyginaspis priscus by Pribyl et al. (1985).
