Taxonomy
Hybristodryinus pyu was named by Perkovsky et al. (2019). Its type specimen is DAF2756, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (MOLC/DAF coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
