Taxonomy
Malthodes (Malthodes) vladiceniensis was named by Pintilioaie et al. (2021). Its type specimen is Faculty of Geography and Geology, Iași 8231, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Vlădiceni 1 site, Blănarului Hill, which is in a Tortonian marginal marine mudstone in the Bârnova-Muntele Formation of Romania.
