Taxonomy
Coelodus vetteri was named by Gorjanović-Kramberger (1895). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Comen (Trieste Museum collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Povir Formation of Slovenia.
