Gai et al. 2018Medium to large-sized polybranchiaspiform; head-shield with a robust rostral process like a lute in outline; median dorsal opening ovate or near circular in shape; orbits dor- sally placed; pineal opening closed; corner absent; inner corner broad leaf-shaped, end of inner corner beyond the posterior margin of the head-shield; polybranchiaspid-type sensory canal system; posterior supraorbital canal developed and V-shaped; 6–9 pairs of branchial fos- sae; ornamentation comprising stellate-like or coarse-granular tubercles.
