Taxonomy
Biacumina latiareata was named by Krainer and Mostler (1997). It is not extant. Its type locality is Scheibelberg insoluble residue, sample KG 66, Unken Syncline, which is in a Liasicus carbonate limestone in the Scheibelberg Formation of Austria.
