Taxonomy
Lorrettina licina was named by Shergold (1980). Its type specimen is CPC 15295a, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lily Creek Section K214, which is in an Iverian open shallow subtidal grainstone in the Chatsworth Formation of Australia.
