Attenosaurus jonesii
Taxonomy
Cincosaurus jonesii was named by Aldrich and Jones (1930). Its type specimen is ALMNH, an other, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Galloway No. 11 Mine, which is in a Westphalian delta plain shale in the Pottsville Formation of Alabama.
It was recombined as Attenosaurus jonesii by Haubold (1971); it was synonymized subjectively with Cincosaurus cobbi by Thurmond and Jones (1981).
