Taxonomy
Namuropyge glaphyra was named by Tilsley (1988) [= 1961 Brachymetopus sp. nov. ?; Earp et al. p. 312.
= 1986 Namuropyge sp. 2; Owens, p. 12, pl.2, fig.12.
= 1986 Brachymetopus sp. 2; Owens, pl. 7, fig. 16.]. Its type specimen is DERS B 16500, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Namuropyge (Tilsleya).
It was recombined as Namuropyge (Tilsleya) glaphyra by Hahn and Hahn (1996).
