Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
C. B. Schultz and C. H. Falkenbach 1956 | SKULL: Small, somewhat more robust than examples of Oreonetes anceps, approaching size of smaller examples of Miniochoerus (Paraminiochoerus) gracilis; hyoidal groove on bulla absent (present in O. anceps) ; distance from posterior border of M3 to postglenoid process greater than in O. anceps.
MANDIBLE: Approximate size of those of O. anceps, smaller than in example of ?L. spec. undet. DENTITION: Length of series slightly less than in O. anceps,· premolars moderately large. (See discussion under listings, p. 463.) LIMBS: Larger and more robust than in examples of Bathygenys alpha, approximately equal in length but somewhat heavier than in examples of M. (P.) gracilis. (Known from tentatively referred specimens only, see discussion, p. 463.) |
