Vassacyon promicrodon

Taxonomy
Uintacyon promicrodon was named by Wortman and Matthew (1899). Its type specimen is AMNH 83, a mandible (an almost complete lower jaw (No. 83), in which the sectorial and fourth premolar are in good state of preservation; portions of the third premolar and second m), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Prodaphaenus promicrodon by Wortman (1901); it was recombined as Vassacyon promicrodon by Matthew (1909), Matthew and Granger (1915), Gingerich (1983) and Solé et al. (2016).
