Thalassocnus antiquus
Taxonomy
Thalassocnus antiquus was named by Muizon et al. (2003) [MUSM = Museo de Historia Natural de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Lima, Peru)]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is MUSM 228. Its type locality is Aguada de Lomas, which is in a Tortonian foreshore siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
