Spinyplatyceras bartlettense
Taxonomy
Platyceras bartlettense was named by Yochelson and Kopf (1956) [Platyceras bartlettense Yochelson & Kopf 1956]. Its type specimen is USNM 125693, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Arkona, West William Township, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Arkona Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Platyceras (Platyceras) barlettense by Tyler (1965); it was recombined as Spinyplatyceras barlettense by Blodgett and Frýda (1999); it was recombined as Spinyplatyceras bartlettense by Wagner (2023).
