• "The greater part of the Pridoli sequence up to the base of bed 120 is formed of laminites, which consist of a regular alternation of micrite-rich biomicrites and fine grained bioclastic limestones. Several beds of coarse, unsorted bioclastic limestones are developed (100,106). According to Z. Kukal (1986) this...represents quiet limestone sedimentation influenced by climatic cycles [details]. [Limestone beds have bioclastic laminae, micrite beds have clayey laminae.] [Higher in section there are also calcareous shale intercalations, but these are minor.] [Bioclastic limestones come to dominate over biomicrites higher in the section.]"
