When: Zone III pollen zone, Barreirinhas Formation, Late/Upper Cenomanian (99.6 - 93.5 Ma)

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, argillaceous, silty limestone and lithified, argillaceous shale

• The section 250-875 m consists of (silty) limestone with some marlstones or shale layers. From 875-1870 m there is a slight increase of the clay contnt: silty limestones preominate with intercalations of shales and marls.
