The original type material considered as lost was relocated by Perez-Garcia and Vlachos (2014) and a lectotype was designated from this locality. This is the specimen ‘Alcalá 2’, a partial skeleton including most of its shell and numerous appendicular elements, found in 1917. Carapace = MNCN 32773, Plastron = MNCN 32771. At least three individuals are known from this locality.
