• Geze (1938) mentioned the first occurrence from the site but he did not continue his excavations. Intense prospecting was made by Lange (1970), who gave the first substantial taxonomic list.
•Darbonetus aubrelongensis specimens are in the collection of the Laboratoire de Paléontologie des Vértébres de l'Université Paris VI.
