When: Eognathodus sulcatus sulcatus conodont zone, Karheen Formation, Pragian (410.8 - 407.6 Ma)

• middle to late Pragian (kindlei zone)

Environment/lithology: marine; limestone

• Allocthonous deposits. General geological setting interpreted as island arc, in which shelly fossiliferous units represent carbonate banks and reefs. In some places these are associated with plant-bearing or graptolite-bearing shales.

Size class: macrofossils

Collected by Eberlein in 1947; reposited in the USGS

• Predominantly material collected by Savage after initial report of Amsden (1952), which Savage believes was mistaken in reporting Atrypella from this locality.
