When: Wirrealpa Limestone Formation, Toyonian (512.1 - 508.2 Ma)

• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Wirrealpa Lmst which overlies the Billy Creek Fm (also Cambrian). Laterally equivalent to Aroona Creek Lmst of Flinders Range and Ramsay, Stansbury, and Coobowie Lmst, and Corrodgery and Moonan Fm of Yorke Peninsula THICKNESS: From unit which could be as much as ~6 m thick within 100 m thick section. AGE: Traditionally assigned to Middle Cambrian based on lateral facies relationships, lithostratigraphy, and age diagnostic trilobites. However, new data from sequence stratigraphy and paleontological evidence suggest a late Early Cambrian age (equivalent to Toyonian of Siberan Platform). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: 25-30 m above PBDB# 64468 and 50 m below PBDB# 64470.
