Where: Queensland, Australia (28.3° S, 152.2° E: paleocoordinates 63.2° S, 149.2° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• small collection-level geographic resolution
When: Condamine Formation, Wuchiapingian (259.9 - 254.2 Ma)
• Assigned to the Echinalosia ovalis and E. voiseyi zones by Briggs (1998), and to mid-APP5 palynomorph zone. Radiometric calibrations of the palynomorph zones by Laurie et al. (2016) indicate a mid-Wuchiapingian to Changhsingian age for the zone. A Wuchiapingian age is assigned to the Condamine Beds, as the correlative brachiopod zones in the Bowen Basin are constrained radiometrically to the Wuchiapingian.
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: marine; lithified siliciclastic sediments
Size class: macrofossils
Preservation: mold/impression
