Where: Queensland, Australia (24.9° S, 148.5° E: paleocoordinates 60.1° S, 141.7° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Peawaddy Formation, Wuchiapingian (259.9 - 254.2 Ma)
• Assigned to the Echinalosia ovalis brachiopod zone and middle APP5 palynomorph zone by Briggs (1998). Laurie et al. (2016) constrained APP5 to the mid-Wuchiapingian through Changhsingian. Phillips et al. dated an ash bed within the Peawaddy Formation at 255.13 Ma and one from the top of the unit at 254.41 Ma, indicating a late Wuchiapingian age.
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified siliciclastic sediments
Size class: macrofossils
Preservation: mold/impression
