Bolbolenellus euryparia occurrence zonule (litho 2) (Cambrian of the United States)

Also known as Bolbolenellus euryparia occurrence zonule (litho 2), CA - Fowler 1999

Where: Inyo County, California (35.8° N, 116.2° W)

• Paleocoordinates: 30.7° N, 142.6° W (Wright 2013)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Bolbolenellus euryparia trilobite zone, Echo/Eagle Shale and Gold Ace Limestone Member (Carrara Formation), Dyeran (515.3 - 509.7 Ma)

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: deep subtidal shelf; lithified dolomite and lithified, silty, calcareous shale

• dolomite or limy silty shale

Size class: macrofossils

Collection methods: Specimens from this site are split into an informal zonation. The zonation utilizes both acme and occurrence zonules, and subdivides some zonules into numbered subunits based on clearly distinguishable assemblages. However, relative species abundances, although reflected to some extent in the biostratigraphic zonation, are not listed. Only trilobites are included in the faunal list. The zonule name will be listed in the Zone datafield.
