• Stratum typicum given as "Etroeungt" or Strunian (now uppermost Fammenian but formerly used to describe transitional Famennian-Tournaisian strata) The associated Central Afghanistan conodonts Polygnathus inornatus, P. symmetricus, Bispathodus spinulicostatus, B. stabilis-listed in Plodowski (1970, p. 12–13)-indicate the mid-Tournaisian Early crenulata Zone.
