When: Jinju Formation (Shindong Group), Albian (113.0 - 100.5 Ma)

• Formerly given a wide age range (often Barremian), but youngest detrital zircon in Jinju Formation is 106 Ma, indicating an age no older than Albian (Lee et al., 2010)

Environment/lithology: lacustrine - large; lithified, fine-grained, gray shale

• Initiated by north–south left-lateral regional simple shear as a wrench tectonic system due to highly oblique subduction of the Izanagi Plate (Lee et al., 2010)
