Also known as Holnam Quarry
Where: Orangeburg County, South Carolina (33.3° N, 80.4° W)
• Paleocoordinates: 35.7° N, 64.7° W (Wright 2013)
• coordinate estimated from map
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Pregnall Member (Tupelo Bay Formation), Priabonian (37.7 - 33.9 Ma)
• Uhen & Gingerich (2001) state that this is from the Cross Formation. Geisler et al (2005) place the Cross Formation as a member in the Tupelo Bay Formation. Geisler et al (2005) indicate that the Giant Portland Cement quarry is in the Pregnall Member, and Kier (1980) indicates a similar echinoid fauna (Periarchus lyelli), suggesting that this quarry is from the Pregnall Member as well, making it Priabonian.
