Where: Thailand (18.5° N, 100.5° E: paleocoordinates 13.4° N, 105.2° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Phra Wihan Formation, Berriasian to Berriasian (145.0 - 125.0 Ma)
• Unit ms4. These fossiliferous beds represent a short period during deposition in the Upper Triassic to Upper Jurassic Nan - Phayao Basin. The exact stratigraphic age of the fossils is unknown due to the lack of index species in the non-marine series. Ward & Bunnag (1964) suggested a Middle Jurassic age for the Phra Wihan Formation from its relative position within the succession.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
