• Brandoni 2014: El ejemplar MPEF-PV 3264 fue colectado en la localidad de “El Petiso” ubicada al noroeste de la Provincia de Chubut (Fig. 1) en sedimentos considerados de probable edad “Colloncurense” o “post-Colloncurense” (Mioceno Medio) (Villafañe et al., 2008; Pérez, 2010; Pérez y Vucetich, 2011) (Fig. 2).

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; lithified, silty tuff

• "La unidad fosilífera comprende una exposición areal de aproximadamente 900 m2 y está formada por un potente paquete de toba limosa, masiva, de 10 metros de espesor. Esta unidad, no cartografiada, se encuentra en la parte superior de una sucesión sedimentaria que apoya, discordante, sobre areniscas conglomerádicas cretácicas" (Villafañe et al. 2008).
