Environment/lithology: marine; shelly/skeletal limestone and shale

• "Plockener facies = dominantly biocalcarenitic and bioruditic crinoidal limestones with thicknesses of about 50 m." [Section diagram indicates shales and slaty marls as well for these beds.]
