When: La Huitrera Formation, Late/Upper Paleocene to Late/Upper Paleocene (58.7 - 37.7 Ma)

Environment/lithology: lacustrine delta front; lithified, coarse-grained tuff

• -The sediments consisting in silicified tuffs of lacustrine deposit of that Laguna del Hunco (Frenguelli & Paradi, 1941).

•-The sediments in which it was found belong to the "Laguna del Hunco Series" consisting of thin, continuous beds of rhyolitic-dacitic tuff, presumably deposited in fresh water (Romero & Hickey, 1976).

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: mold/impression, original cellulose, replaced with silica
