Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; limestone
• he Paleocene and Eocene deposits of the region are marine shallow water sediments. The development of facies, and the occurrence of some shales and grits associated with the limestones suggest a location not too far from the coast line.
• Limestones, some basal shales and grits in one area. The limestones are bioclastic and shaly to to the west, merging into typical pelagic material eastward.
