Where: Scotland, United Kingdom (56.6° N, 2.7° W)
• Paleocoordinates: 4.9° S, 43.7° W (Wright 2013)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: micrornatus–newportensis pollen zone, Dundee Flagstone Formation (Arbuthnott-Garvock Group), Lochkovian (419.2 - 410.8 Ma)
• Spore assemblages from the Arbuthnott group were originally thought to indicate an early Pragian age (e.g., Richardson, 1967; Holland and Richardson, 1977), however, these are now considered to belong within the micrornatus–newportensis Spore Assemblage Biozone, indicating an early Lochkovian age (Richardson et al., 1984; Wellman, 1993; Lavender and Wellman, 2002).
