When: Taenicephalus trilobite zone, Ore Hill Limestone Member (Gatesburg Formation), Cambrian (538.8 - 485.4 Ma)

Environment/lithology: marine; limestone

• Loch and Taylor do not describe lithology, however Wilson 1951 described this unit as massive dark crystalline dolomite, most of the Ore Hill limestone is typically thin-bedded and weathers into yellow mottled blue-gray flagstones 1-4 inches thick, finely crystalline or aphanetic and when fresh, quite black.
