• spoil piles are a mix of the Merchantville and Marshalltown Formations

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, concretionary, glauconitic, silty, sandy sandstone

• Merchantville Fm: quartz sand, silt and clay with glauconite. Fossils occurs in concretions. Marshalltown Fm: similar to the Merchantville Fm, but the Marshalltown is composed of different percentages.
