Environment/lithology: marine; lithified sandstone and shelly/skeletal shale

• At this section the Pefia del Tormo Member lacks the marly beds with bryozoans that characterize the unit southwest of this outcrop, including the two former sections. The basal ironstone is only 45 cm thick and is immediately succeeded by the alternating sandstones and shales of the Huerva Member.
