When: Taihungshania miqueli trilobite zone, H Member (La Maurerie Formation), Floian (477.7 - 470.0 Ma)

• Taihungshania miqueli acme Subzone ¼ faunizone “H”= IGCP 410 TS 1c-d, latest Tremadocian– TS 2a earliest Floian.

•Called Couches de la Maurerie, Niveau H in the French literature.

•According to Fortey (2011), this should be basal Floian, in the Tetragraptus akzharensis zone.

Environment/lithology: deep subtidal shelf; nodular, black, silty, cherty/siliceous shale and sandstone

• a succession consisting of an alternation of sandstones and shales bearing centimetric scale siliceous nodules

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: cast, original aragonite
