• Okinoshiman stage. Former Kattachi Formation (upper part of the Miike Formation of Iguchi, 2016) belongs to the uppermost CP13c nannofossil zone and lower CP14a, corresponding to the upper Lutetian (Iguchi, 2016). The site represents the lowermost sandstone of the Kattachi Formation (Karasawa, 1992), the "Kattachi fossil zone" of Kikuchi (1963).
