Where: Japan (44.2° N, 142.1° E: paleocoordinates 53.6° N, 135.8° E)
• coordinate estimated from map
• small collection-level geographic resolution
When: Early/Lower Cenomanian (99.6 - 93.5 Ma)
• Although the exact stratigraphic horizon from which the concretion came is uncertain, judging from its location, it without doubt came from the mudstone of the Member My3 of the "Middle Yezo Group," which can be correlated with the Graysonites adkinsi-G. wooldridgei zone (=lowest Cenomanian).
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, concretionary mudstone
Size class: macrofossils
