When: Kugaly Formation, Asselian to Asselian (298.9 - 272.3 Ma)
• Kugaly Formation, which is Late Pennsylvanian or Early Permian in age. All seymouriamorphs are Permian in age, including the Middle Permian Urumqia liudaowanensis from Xinjiang, China, which was synonymized under Utegenia shpinari by Ivakhnenko (1987). Therefore, the Permian age of Kurty seems more probable.
