Where: Iran (36.8° N, 55.3° E: paleocoordinates 36.5° S, 100.9° E)
When: Tilabad Member (Khoshyeilagh Formation), Givetian (387.7 - 382.7 Ma)
• Given as Lower Carbonate member, which is now Tilabad (Wendt et al. 2005. Acta Geologica Polonica 55:31-97; p. 44).
• member-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; limestone and shale
•shales, dolomites and marls. The limestones are mainly skeletal, being interbedded by frequent thin layers of marls and shales in the lower parts of the section. The coral fauna comes from the limestone beds of these parts.
