Where: Nye County, Nevada (36.9° N, 116.7° W: paleocoordinates 6.0° S, 83.9° W)

When: Orthidiella brachiopod zone, Antelope Valley Formation (Pogonip Group), Rangerian (470.0 - 470.3 Ma)

Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified limestone

• 80 m thick and 300 m wide mud-mound in an outer ramp setting in relatively deep and cold water. Core of the mound with zebra limestone bands and stromatactis structures.

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: replaced with silica
